Authorities just arrested a man for this week’s bombing attempts and the details are telling

UPDATE: The MAGAbomber has been identified as Cesar Sayoc. Get more details here.

The federal authorities have arrested someone in relation to the terrifying string of attempted bombs this week and so far it looks like the nickname MAGAbomber, despite Republican protestations, is accurate.

The Washington Post reports that a 50-year-old man has been apprehended in Florida. He was captured after two more explosive devices were discovered today in Florida and New York. The FBI and DOJ confirmed the man’s apprehension, adding that official information about the suspect will be shared with the public at a news conference later today. Trump tweeted that he will be sharing details himself as well.

Photographs of the suspect’s van have also emerged, and it appears to be festooned in Donald Trump stickers and MAGA imagery. It’s hardly a surprising development, given the fact that the targets of the bombs were all prominent Democrats as well as CNN, people and organizations that President Trump repeatedly attacks in the media, calling them unAmerican, dangerous, and a whole bevy of other descriptors that could, and appear to have, infected the mind of an unstable radical.

Luckily, nobody was hurt by the bombs, but Trump’s continued refusal to accept responsibility for his actions make it possible that this could happen again.

Check back for more details as they emerge.
