A man suspected to be the culprit behind the explosive devices sent this week to prominent Democrats and CNN has been arrested in Florida. The “MAGAbomber” moniker turns out to have been accurate, as the man’s van was covered in pro-Trump stickers.

Now, we know the suspect’s identity. NBC News reports that man that’s been arrested is 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc Jr. DNA evidence played a part in locating and capturing him. In a development that should be surprising to absolutely nobody, Sayoc is a registered Republican. He also appears to have a lengthy criminal record and at some point owned a dry cleaning business and catering business.

The Washington Post reports that Sayoc was was captured after two more explosive devices were discovered today in Florida and New York. The FBI and DOJ confirmed the man’s apprehension, adding that official information about the suspect will be shared with the public at a news conference later today. Trump tweeted that he will be sharing details himself as well.

Photographs of the suspect’s van have also emerged, and it’s covered in Donald Trump stickers and MAGA imagery. It’s hardly a surprising development, given the fact that the targets of the bombs were all prominent Democrats as well as CNN, people and organizations that President Trump repeatedly attacks in the media, calling them unAmerican, dangerous, and a whole bevy of other descriptors that could, and appear to have, infected the mind of an unstable radical.

Luckily, nobody was hurt by the bombs, but Trump’s continued refusal to accept responsibility for his actions make it possible that this could happen again.

Check back for more details as they emerge.
