UNPATRIOTIC: Why are Republicans blaming Biden for Hamas attack?

In the exact same way that Republicans blame President Biden for Russia invading Ukraine — as if Putin had no agency in it whatsoever — they are now disgracefully blaming the United States President for the Hamas attack on Israel.

The rule used to be that politics stopped at the water’s edge and that we were all Americans.

As a progressive, I wouldn’t be blaming Trump if Hamas attacked Israel. I would blame Hamas (and likely Iran, maybe even Russia).

But just like Trump passed along the easily debunked lie that the $6 billion in funds released to Iran for humanitarian relief was used to fund Hamas’s attack — when in fact every single penny is still sitting unspent in a Qatari bank — Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), a GOP presidential candidate, tweeted this:

https://twitter.com/SIfill_/status/1711066803915395504

And we were led to believe that Scott was one of the better Republicans. Not a single American penny went to Hamas, so Scott is perpetuating a lie.

President Biden said that Israel has a right to defend itself, not to “stand down.”  From the Times of Israel:

“US President Joe Biden on Saturday called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and stressed that the US stands by Israel and fully supports Israel’s right to defend itself, amid a surprise violent assault by Gazan terrorists.”

Additionally, Biden just moved our Mediterranean carrier group to just off the coast of Israel. Why would such a “weak” man, supposedly opposed to Israel, do that?

If Hamas made the mistake of taking any Americans hostage, they will be in for a bigger war than they thought. Navy SEALs will be in that carrier group.

Look at what arch-RWNJ Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) is posting right now.

It seems like you are not a true MAGA if you’re not scaring grandma!

The Mossad just had one of the biggest intelligence failures in its existence and yet “we” aren’t prepared because all those “sleeper cells” are still sleeping after the attack?

Here is an appropriate response to Biggs:

In an intense moment where Israel may be on the brink of mowing over Hamas and going straight to war with Iran, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA)  blames Biden differently. Forgive me for including my answer to her:

They did not come from Ukraine. We can be sure of that because they’re fighting for their very existence against Russia and, sadly, against Putin’s agents in the United States, agents like Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) weighed in with the “money is fungible” argument — since they can’t say real money went to Iran because it hasn’t.

Josh? That is the current Secretary of State probably working his ass off to help Israel. Maybe you should get out of the way and let the man do his job.

Now here is a real patriot. If the U.S. President couldn’t do several things at the same time, Crowley would be ranting about it.

President Biden is trying to help the working class and poor while also monitoring Israel and trusting the people he himself put in place to advise him. Meanwhile, he’s staying out of their way.

We don’t even have to leave it to homegrown MAGA fanatics to make accusations against the United States, since apparently there are MAGA supporters in Great Britain as well:

Which “high-ranking commander,” and why can’t you cite a source that we can maybe check? Nah, it’s best to just get the narrative out there.

And, so what you’re saying is that Biden should’ve stayed in Afghanistan even though Trump had already made the order to pull out? Remember that it was Trump who released 5,000 ISIS terrorists from Afghan prisons

Watch this. This is how it is done.

The below seems very plausible, but we’re not publishing a story about it because we can’t confirm it. Everyone should be very wary of “sources” on any social media platform right now.

We cannot trust that. Nor should anyone reading anything about an unnamed “high ranking commander” talking about U.S. equipment.

Maybe we need a truth cleanser from the former Ambassador to Russia under Pres. Obama:

Some Americans are more loyal to Putin than to their own president during an intense time for the entire globe.

As Americans without allegiance to Putin, we should be coming together in a bipartisan way to bring peace to Israel and Ukraine.

I saw a tweet earlier today from an anonymous White House staffer from the George W. Bush White House. This is a legitimate person taken very seriously on Twitter. We might be on the brink of an even wider regional war. (This is an opinion, thus taken just as food for thought.)

Our friends at Meidas Touch cite the WSJ, that article can be found here.

And, the same account warned us earlier:

It is time to come together. This is how world wars start, and the United States — all of it, representing both the right and the left — is strong and will have a role to play.
