The NAACP’s National Board of Directors issued an official travel advisory for the state of Florida on Saturday for the Black and LGBTQ+ communities, as well as all other people of color.
The national travel warnings were approved after a proposal from Florida’s NAACP State Conference last month.
In their statement, the NAACP pointed to policies “hostile to Black Americans” implemented by Republican Gov. Ron “All the Bad Nicknames” DeSantis.
The NAACP placed full blame on DeSantis for his “aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools.”
Governor Gitmo recently signed a spate of bills to suppress Black history from being taught in Florida schools and universities in his endless attempts to erase the Other.
“Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals,” the travel advisory reads.
“Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.”
The warning also strongly urges everyone not to move to the unfriendly fascist alligator swamp full of cocaine.
But the NAACP isn’t alone in warning everyone to stay away from Fascist Florida these days.
America’s largest and oldest Hispanic organization, the League of United Latin American Citizens, issued a Florida travel advisory just a few days ago.
Last month, more than 65 LGBTQ+ civil rights organizations, including Equality Florida and the Florida Immigrant Coalition, also warned their communities to stay away from the Gunshine State.
This also applies to anyone else who identifies as non-MAGA, really.
None of us are welcome in Floriduh anymore.
The FloriduhMen who work for the Fascist Freak think all of this is just hilarious and refuse to take any of the accurate accusations seriously.
Something called a Jeremy Redfern, which acts as Racist Ron’s press secretary, responded to the warnings with three words:
“This is a stunt.”
Redfern isn’t exactly original here, because he said the same thing about all of the other advisories warning people to spend their tourist dollars elsewhere.
So…if one mediocre white FloriduhMan says one thing, but millions of Americans of color say otherwise, who do you think we should be listening to?
