SHARP: Biden curb stomps Trump's self-own on Truth Social

Women win elections, a fact that Donald Trump doesn’t seem to want to acknowledge causing him to self-own on his inartfully named Truth Social service.

But it is a fact that is embraced by the man who beat Trump named, Joe Biden

And that same guy saw an opportunity to use Trump’s own words and boasts on Wednesday against Trump, leaving a searing political scar.

President Biden was in full campaign mode when he took an internet “red pen” to Trump’s Truth Social post bragging about defeating Roe v. Wade. (embedded below)

Dark Brandon’s tweet has over 10 million views and 24,000 retweets.

Using his opponent’s words is a powerful political warning about what Republicans do with power and will do if they ever get that power back.

That’s because Donald Trump chose to use the single most-reliable losing issue for Republicans to highlight his “success” as president on Truth Social:

After 50 years of failure, with nobody coming even close, I was able to kill Roe v. Wade, much to the “shock” of everyone, and for the first time put the Pro Life movement in a strong negotiating position over the Radicals that are willing to kill babies even into their 9th month, and beyond. Without me there would be no 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 15 weeks, or whatever is finally agreed to. Without me the pro Life movement would have just kept losing. Thank you President TRUMP!!!

Nine months and “beyond”?

It’s a massive flip-flop from Trump, who just last week filibustered a reporter at The Messenger when asked about his abortion position.

This is the single last issue the GOP wants to highlight.

The sharp, experienced politician in Joe Biden, who has won more elections than some of us have had hot meals, jumped on the opportunity to force Trump to eat his own ketchup-stained mess.

“That is about as clear as it gets,” wrote the President.

Over the course of a single year since the Dobbs decision, GOP politicians have transitioned from claiming this was a “state’s rights issue.”

Now, pro-life activists are scrambling to attempt to get a nationwide injunction against the most effective abortion medications (a ruling quickly put on hold).

They’re also criminalizing ordering basic medications utilized in most abortions, an ongoing attempt to make abortion “murder.”

Most distressingly, Republicans are promising a national ban if their party controls the White House and both branches of Congress ever again.

President Biden has always been a feminist, bravely coming forward as one the first senators to address domestic violence as a violent crime seriously.

Unlike Trump, Biden listens to women and understands that women are rightly terrified of domestic abuse.

Women deserve full and equal rights under the law, including control over their own bodies, which really irks Republicans these days.

And that is why Biden was exactly right to jump on Trump’s “boastful victory” on Truth Social to warn all of us, not just women, that the MAGA Republicans don’t consider the matter “over,” no more so than any other issue.

Using the red pen to highlight “kill” abortion is also about as clear as it gets. Biden considers this issue as both critically important (obviously) and also the political key to victory in 2024.

Women voters win elections (and we need more women winning elections themselves). Biden understands this.

The Biden Campaign will never be more powerful than it is on these occasions when he can re-route the misogyny and political obliviousness that come so naturally to Trump and turn it against him.

Joe Biden is right where we need him.

Sharply dialed into winning in 2024 and focused precisely on the issues that will clearly dictate which side wins.
