FACTS: E. Jean Carroll should sue CNN for defamation for Trump town hall

Trump’s CNN pep rally Town Hall Wednesday night was an affront to all credible news networks for so many reasons.

Writer E. Jean Carroll won her sexual abuse and defamation case against Donald Trump on Tuesday and was immediately defamed by him again on live television the next day.

Aside from giving the DOJ even more material evidence to use against him, CNN presented Trump with a national platform to further bully and defame the victorious advice columnist.

When ineffective moderator Kaitlan Collins asked Grabby McGolfcart about the previous day’s verdict, he said his poll numbers went up.

Trump kept non-answering by repeating his false statements that he “didn’t know” Carroll, despite being photographed together with their then-spouses in the 1980s.

“I don’t know her. I never met her. I had no idea who she is.”

Yet he claimed in his damning deposition that Carroll “loved it” when he forced himself on her in that Bergdorf Goodman’s dressing room.

In fact, she already told the New York Times this afternoon that Trump’s town hall was “It’s just stupid, it’s just disgusting, vile, foul, it wounds people,” but what her top-notch lawyer said to the paper should (finally) leave Little Hands the sexual assaulter reconsidering spreading his lies:

“Everything’s on the table, obviously, and we have to give serious consideration to it,” Ms. Kaplan said. “We have to weigh the various pros and cons and we’ll come to a decision in the next day or so, probably.”

CNN’s morning show co-anchor let Donald Trump distract from a question about whether the sexual abuse verdict would impact his standing with female voters.

Trump steamrolled over Katilan Collins with his non-response.

I hope Carroll’s lawyers have already transcribed Wednesday’s town hall for evidence in a new defamation lawsuit.

Tiny Hands spoke in that special condescending tone that narcissistic men use when a smarter woman has bested them, but they can’t admit it.

Mocking E. Jean Carroll’s claims—which, again, he had just been held liable for in a court of law—the overgrown grade school bully drew laughs and applause from the cult crowd of fellow loser bullies that the suddenly shameless news network cobbled together in New Hampshire.

Collins tried to interrupt.

But Trump did the whole “whoever is the loudest is the one who’s right” thing.

Just like his election loss, the criminally indicted ex-president called his attack on E. Jean “a fake story.” He once again referred to her as “a wack job.”

He also turned his venal rage on Collins, who never had control of the situation, calling her a “nasty woman.”

That’s what he says about any woman who tells the truth about him. Or, in Kaitlan’s case, sort of tries to tell the truth.

And the town hall’s Ultra MAGA crowd ate it up like burnt Trump steaks slathered in ketchup.

CNN let all of that misogyny just happen, mainly because they specifically invited it. They filled the crowd with Trumpers, not Democrats or Independents.

There’s a reason they put a younger woman in that position and it only served to highlight Trump’s misogyny. It helped platform and normalize his misogyny and bullying.

“You don’t have to like [Trump’s] answers but you can’t say we didn’t get them,” Chris “The Elon Musk of CNN,” Licht said in response to the criticism for airing the Town Hall.

“That’s our job – to get answers. And we held him accountable like no other news organization in years.” – Chris Licht

You did nothing of the sort, Chris Licked.

That they still don’t know how to handle the Orange Menace is only a fraction of the problem with CNN.

As a lifelong member of Team E. Jean, I hope she’ll bring a second defamation suit against Trump.

And I hope she goes after CNN for enabling it as they continue to not understand how to cover a criminal sexual abuser.

“#DoneWithCNN” started trending on Twitter and was still going strong on Thursday.

Here’s a sampling of the Tweets denouncing CNN’s rancid town hall:
