HYPOCRISY: GOP's Easter tweets share nothing but more empty thoughts & prayers

[DISCLAIMER: This Op-Ed was written by someone raised Jewish who’s now a devout atheist]

Republicans were sharing their Easter wishes on social media on Sunday, serving up the usual platitudes and Bible verses that none of them ever live by.

There’s almost no difference between their Easter tweets and their post-mass shooting tweets, and you can’t tell me they don’t keep templates for both in their Drafts.

As an atheist, I just don’t understand the need for the dual cult crutches of religion and Republicanism to cope with reality.

No one has ever been able to explain to me the difference between “praying” and “just thinking about stuff,” the same way they’ve never been able to prove any God exists.

But then again, these are the same people who want to control the population, think more guns in schools make sense and are threatened by drag queens, so I take everything they say with a pillar of salt.

“Republican Jesus” was trending on Twitter Easter Sunday because thankfully, there are still people on Elon’s trash app who live on Earth One and can see the hypocrisy.

Leading the devout charge was Donny All-Caps, who rage-sharted through some early morning word salad on his failing Truth Social app.

Every other Republican who’s been busy voting to take away all basic human rights from Americans while denying climate change was tweeting stuff like “He is Risen” and other cult catchphrases on Sunday.

So let’s take a gander at what the flock is happening, shall we?

Here’s the target of a still-open FBI investigation into the sex trafficking and rape of teenage girls talking about a dead guy being “risen.”

OK, Captain Venmo.

Reichstag Ron DeathSantis didn’t even bother to add an empty platitude with his Jeebus meme, probably because he was busy signing another bill to make Florida even worse.

KKKari LaKKKe blocked me on Twitter forever ago, just like Jesus would, but thankfully I can see her hateful hypocrisy on other peoples’ accounts.

Same with MAGA Mean Girl prototype Tostada Lambada Tomi Lahren. Nothing says you love all people like whatever this is.

Yes, I mostly shared that for the meme and I’m not at all sorry.

Just like I’m not sorry about this one.

Or this one, because it’s very extra “Woke 2023” *insert hard eye-roll*

Let’s end on a “most high” note, shall we? Here’s the biggest Fake Christian Trumpocrite of them all, Liddle Marco Rubio.

Sounds like someone might be shaking in his liddle Florida Man boots that Big Daddy Donny is going to drive a great big bus right over him very soon.

Meanwhile, the very same “Christians” also still trapped in Cult 45 keep trolling me all day every day, just like the Bible tells them so.

So I’ll keep telling them the truth, just like the Constitution tells me I can.
