REVENGE: Fox News host demands frivolous Biden prosecutions "for your country"

A top Fox News host just called on Republican district attorneys across the country to “use anything” in order to falsely charge President Joe Biden or someone high in his administration with a crime.

Fox News host Mark Levin wants this done before the end of the week when Trump was arraigned. Additionally, two days ago, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said he’d already been contacted by two Republican D.A.s wanting to prosecute President Biden.

The nagging worry in the back of Democrats’ heads was always: What will Republicans do if a new precedent is set whereby states start charging innocent Democrats in retaliation for states going after Trump?

Clearly, Republicans don’t have the patience to wait until the Biden administration ends.

Media Matters reports:

“And once again, multiple times, this show’s heard all over the country — it’s heard all over the world, actually. I’m asking Republican prosecutors out there to take a very good look at your own statutes – local, state, and even federal, but particularly the state prosecutors, the DAs, the state prosecutors, and so forth.”

“See if there’s anything there that you can use to charge Biden or any senior Democrat official. I mean, if you’re not a hundred percent certain, you’re 80 percent certain that it’ll fly, then do it,” Levin continued ranting.

“It’s the only way this will stop,” says the Murdoch-platformed Trump-backing flamethrower who was a key player in spreading the Big Lie.

“Do it because otherwise, this will continue. You’d be doing it for your country.”

And so there you have it.

“Anything you can do, I can do better” is the Republican mantra.

The “investigate the investigators” probe was former Attorney General Bill Barr’s answer to Mueller, took Special Counsel John “Bull” Durham nearly twice as long, and except for a minor plea, came up with nothing.

Durham did lose two high-profile trials.

The result would largely be the same with a “use anything prosecutor” looking to charge Joe Biden.

But that’s not the end of the story.

In GOP eyes, the charge itself is the punishment.

They want to put Biden through what Donald Trump just went through, then wail about it on Fox News. They don’t care about the result. (See the endless Benghazi investigations).

This is politics at its most cynical, which is also the Republicans’ mantra. (see Tennessee.)

That is why I personally argued that charging an ex-president should be a national decision through the Department of Justice so as to at least cap the ultimate damage that Republicans can do.

“Cap,” Levin is already laughing.
