The twice-impeached ex-president just lashed out in his first public statement confirming his own indictment by a Manhattan grand jury. (embedded below)
Donald John Trump issued a statement on his Truth Social account, highlighted by a major typographical error whining about the criminal charges he’s facing.
Complaining that he was just “INDICATED,” Trump proceeded to scapegoat some of his traditional nebulous bogeymen. Here’s his statement:
These Thugs and Radical Left Monsters have just INDICATED the 45th President of the United States of America, and the leading Republican Candidate, by far, for the 2024 Nomination for President. THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!

Nobody knows exactly what charges Trump will face as the indictment itself is sealed.
However, judging by the last known witness to testify to the grand jury, he may face more charges than just the expected felony alteration of business records to cover up another crime allegations in the Stormy Daniels case.
American Media Incorporated CEO David Pecker was the final witness. His firm engaged in a second form of campaign-related information warfare known as “catch and kill” operations to buy the stories of a woman who had extramarital affairs with Trump.
Pecker’s firm pled guilty to federal charges related to that scheme, which also involved Michael Cohen, the former president’s personal lawyer who pled guilty in the Stormy Daniels case.
The reality is that nobody knows all of what is in the sealed indictment.
But most observers expect to find out its contents next week.
The Secret Service protects Trump during his post-presidency and is expected to be involved in his surrender to authorities and arrangement next week.
