SLEETING: Porn star sends load of evidence to Manhattan DA about Trump’s all-star lawyer

The porn star named Stormy at the heart of a criminal case against Donald Trump just sent an ice cold package of documents about the ex-president’s best criminal defense lawyer that could change the playing field of the case.

The Manhattan District Attorney prosecuting hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged affair with Donald Trump did not convene the grand jury on Wednesday, but they’re not backing off the case.

In fact, it turns out they’ve got a pile of new information to process since adult performer Stormy Daniels aka Stephanie Clifford just sent them records of communications between herself and Trump’s top defense attorney, Joe Tacopina.

Even as Tacopina had argued that Trump broke no laws, old footage of him surfaced (video below) demonstrating that he suggested otherwise before Trump hired him. In that old clip, Tacopina says that the hush money payments could be deemed “an illegal payment, a fraud.”

This is more serious.

Donald Trump has a sheaf of other attorneys that could step into the gap, but none with the sterling record brought by Joe Tacopina, whose illustrious client list includes baseball slugger and steroid user Alex Rodriguez to rapper Meek Mill.

Tacopina is already defending Trump in the high-profile defamation and rape cases brought by advice columnist E. Jean Caroll. That civil case is going to trial next month with an anonymous jury.

He has also recently appeared on right-wing media to defend Trump, insisting that the payments to Daniels were merely a private matter, not about his campaign at all, and therefore not a potentially illegal campaign contribution.

However, Daniels’ legal team says that the adult film star contacted Tacopina when she sought legal representation, though she ultimately selected a different attorney.

They suggested that the communication between Daniels and Tacopina’s office could represent a conflict of interest and that the Grand Jury should have the opportunity to see what was discussed.

Recently, Tacopina denied that allegation, saying he never met or spoke with Daniels — which falls short of denying that he had access to communications containing potentially relevant information.

In the event that the court concludes that Tacopina has a conflict of interest, then he shouldn’t be allowed to work on the criminal case. CNN reports::

“It would ultimately be up to a judge to decide whether the communications amount to a conflict of interest that requires disqualification or some other limitation on the advocacy Tacopina can do on behalf of the former president, if a case is brought against Trump.”

The Grand Jury is not reconvening this week, per New York’s local ABC news station.

Reportedly it will meet again on Monday, when it may hear from at least one more witness before moving forward on the case of the illegally hidden hush money to the porn star right before votes were cast in the 2016 election.

Either way, the information Stormy Daniels provides today could sandbag Trump’s legal defense team before he’s even fingerprinted.
