TWINKERBELLE: Same-sex video surfaces of rabidly anti-LGBTQ right-wing media star

Recently surfaced video showing staunch conservative and CPAC darling Michael Knowles portraying a gay man onscreen after a same-sex romp is part and parcel of right-wing hypocrisy.

Watch the clip below.

The “conservative” media pundit and Daily Wire contributor recently called for the “eradication” of transgenderism, a made-up ideology at the forefront of the right-wing culture war waged against inclusion, tolerance, and acceptance of members of the LGBTQ community.

“There can be no middle way in dealing with transgenderism,” Knowles said in his Conservative Political Action Coalition speech. “It is all or nothing.”

It was also a far cry from the post-copulation scene Knowles shares with his male co-star.

“That was…WOW!” the re-branded ultra-right wing pundit says in the clip.

“Have you not done it with men?” the male companion asked. “Mind if we don’t get into that?” Knowles responded before asking for a towel in the scene.

While it may seem funny to those on the outside, it confirms the tried and true Republican mantra, “Freedom for me, not for thee.”

The GOP and its allies have waged an all-out war against the LGBTQ community, from drag queen story hour to family-friendly drag brunches, no hateful stone has been left unturned.

The recent backlash against gender-affirming care for transgender youth has given so-called conservatives free rein to launch unprecedented and unwarranted attacks on an already marginalized group.

“There can be no middle way in dealing with transgenderism. It is all or nothing. If transgenderism is true, if men can become women, then it’s true for everybody of all ages,” he said. “If it is false, then for the good of society, and especially for the good of the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely — the whole preposterous ideology.” – Michael Knowles

For the record, men don’t become women or vice versa – they already are.

With legislation being proposed and passed in red states at an alarming level, the attempts to conflate dressing in drag with being transgender are not lost.

Wording that prohibits and penalizes those who appear in public in attire contradictory to the gender listed on one’s birth certificate only amplifies the hypocrisy of those like Knowles who have not only participated in art and film depicting LGBTQ life, but entertainers on the big, little screen and Broadway stage, breaking and bending gender rules.

“Hypocrisy for me, conformity for thee,” is the apparent GOP platform – and they’re running with it.
