Thanks to the endless mediocrity of White people misappropriating everything in Black culture, the MAGA morons of the extreme right have now taken a word — “woke” — that has real meaning to the Black community and made it meaningless.
“Woke” is now used by the right to criticize all things vaguely liberal, reducing another moment in Black history to a terrible tweetable talking point.
It’s bad enough that elected GOP officials are literally writing new bills with the term “anti-woke agenda” in them, but it’s even worse to hear the conservative crapski spilling from their hatemouths.
But to watch one of them “explain” to a Black woman what “woke” means is to feel the cringe setting into your bones while folding over onto themselves to get away from the pain.
Meet Bethany Mandel, whose apparent claim to fame is being *checks notes* a birthing vessel host body for Washington Examiner propaganda publisher Seth Mandel.
Bethany is a star in the homeschooling world and is always giving off some real Holly Hobbie-type energy.

Birther Bethany was a guest on The Hill’s online program Rising on Tuesday, where she was fully caught off guard by co-host Briahna Joy Gray asking her to give the definition of “woke.”

Every time one of these right-wing nutjobs says “woke,” an angel dies from cringe.
Mandel herself predicted her painful appearance would go viral, and blamed it on “Mommy brain” because she just produced her sixth human child offering to Dear Leader to carefully teach to hate all others.
The fog of “Mommy brain” is real enough, but it doesn’t explain away being a racist who hates independent thinking. Bethany’s viral moment shines a light on how hateful they all are, which is what we should focus us instead of honing in on “woke.”
