The Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit is a treasure trove of a deep dive into Fox News and how it both abetted and rejected Donald Trump and his allies after the 2020 Presidential election was called for Joe Biden.

Aside from learning that Fox News anchors had the same kind of contempt for Trump allies like Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell that liberals do, the lawsuit also reveals how executives at the deceptive cable news network handled the Donald Problem on the daily.

But one particular day stands out, of course: January 6, 2021.

You know, that time when Trump wouldn’t tell his murderous MAGA masses to go home while he watched them on the teevee.

“And I’ll be with you!” said the guy who was never with them

As he sat there enjoying his Happy Meal, Trump tried to call into Fox News, as he had done on the regular during both of his campaigns, but Fox News execs were literally all, NOT TODAY, SATAN.

This is notable for several reasons.

First of all, Fox said the worst “N” word possible to Trump, which is “No.”

Nobody says no to Donny Thin Skin.

It also indicated Fox News execs were hyper-aware of what was happening at the Capitol and didn’t want to give Trump any more fuel to fan the flames, because “it would be irresponsible to put him on the air” and “could impact a lot of people in a negative way,” according to Fox Business Network President Lauren Petterson, whose testimony was cited by Dominion.

But perhaps most significantly, the call was kept so secret, even the January 6th House Select Committee didn’t know about it.

It may be a dedicated propaganda network, but somewhere deep in Fox News HQ are humans who are still capable of making proper journalistic decisions.
