I have some shocking news to report: members of Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign plotted to perpetuate Trump’s election fraud lies after he lost the key battleground state of Wisconsin to Joe Biden.
The receipts are contained within newly released audio messages where Trump’s operatives acknowledge the defeat and then pivot to false allegations of widespread fraud that were ultimately debunked over sixty times by elections officials and the courts.
It’s unlikely that Trump’s base will care about any of this as he’s already making a weak third attempt for the White House and they want him back even if it takes more cheating.
The audio, which was obtained by the Associated Press on Thursday, features Trump’s stooges praising the Democrats’ successful efforts in Wisconsin while making jokes about Democratic engagement with Black voters.
Andrew Iverson, the former head of Trump’s campaign in the state who’s now the Midwest regional director for the Republican National Committee, can be heard laying out the campaign’s next steps:
“Here’s the drill: Comms is going to continue to fan the flame and get the word out about Democrats trying to steal this election. We’ll do whatever they need (inaudible) help with. Just be on standby in case there’s any stunts we need to pull.”
That last sentence is just wowwww.
Check out the response to the audio leak from Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung: “The 2024 campaign is focused on competing in every state and winning in a dominating fashion. That is why President Trump is leading by wide margins in poll after poll.”
Um, that’s because no one had yet declared their candidacy, but the truth has never once been a part of any statement regarding Donald Trump.
It’s also not the first time leaked audio has revealed their nefarious plans to keep Trump in office. Feel free to share this with Merrick Garland, who seems to have missed it.
