NOT SO BIG: Jan 6th rioter who sat at Pelosi's desk convicted on 8 charges

Welcome to the finding out part, L’il Bigo.

It only took a jury two hours to unanimously convict Richard “Bigo” Barnett, the malicious MAGA mook who dared put his feet up on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s desk, on all eight counts in his indictment.

A prosecutor told jurors during the trial’s opening statements that Barnett, a firefighter from Arkansas, planned the trip to Washington for weeks and came “prepared for violence.”

The charges against Barnett include civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, and entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon.

Barnett was carrying a stun gun with spikes concealed within a collapsible walking stick when he stormed the Capitol and invaded Pelosi’s office, according to prosecutors.

The MAGAt testified last Thursday that he was “looking for a bathroom inside the Capitol” (I guess not crapping on the floor elevates him just a tad above the others) when he “unwittingly” entered Speaker Pelosi’s office — the one with SPEAKER’S OFFICE written on a sign above the door — and encountered two news photographers.

Barnett claimed one of the photographers told him to “act natural,” so he leaned back in a chair and flung his legs onto the desk.

He also took a piece of the Speaker’s mail and left behind a note that said, “Nancy, Bigo was here, b*tch.”

The jury convicted Bigo on a theft charge for taking the envelope from Speaker Pelosi’s office.

After police ordered him and others to leave the Speaker’s office, Barnett realized he had left his American flag behind.

Body camera video captured Barnett shouting at a police officer in the Rotunda for help in retrieving the flag.

Barnett testified he “regrets” coming to Washington for the “Stop the Steal” rally where Donald Trump whipped up the MAGA masses and sent them to kill everyone in Congress.

“Two years of lost life. Misery for my family,” Barnett said on the stand.

But it’s all for show. While on house arrest last year, Barnett raised money by charging donors $100 for photos of him with his feet on a desk.

What a miserable grifting piece of crap. I wonder who he learned that from.

Barnett will be sentenced on May 3rd and will remain free on certain conditions until his sentencing because he’s white.
