Elon Musk has now lost more personal wealth than any other mediocre billionaire in history, and Twitter is literally paying the price because of it.

Not only has Twitter stopped paying rent at its offices around the world, but there’s also apparently no one making sure it’s running smoothly.
How else to explain why users have been seeing nothing but MAGA tweets from Republicans they don’t follow in the new “For You” tab when it’s not for them at all?
Musk–who unsurprisingly didn’t resign even after a poll he created showed an overwhelming majority of users wanted him gone because we never wanted him there in the first place–is finding out what happens when your ego literally writes checks you can’t pay.
Old tweets are also getting recycled just as some serious consequences are coming down the pike for Donald Trump, how strange!
For some reason on Sunday, this old tweet of mine from October 10–right around the time Elon took over, weird!–came back, with so many horrific garbage takes in the comments.

However, a quick glance through some of those comments is a study of why you should NEVER REPLY TO THE BOTS.

When things get extra bad in TrumpWorld, there’s usually a Twitter distraction to offset it.
And things have never been so bad for the Orange Menace as they are right now. E. Jean Carroll, Letitia James, and Fani Willis–the Truth-Telling Trifecta–are all poised to bring him to actual justice, the kind you can’t distract from.
So why wouldn’t Elon try the same tactic by allowing a whole new array of pro-Putin bots to trend “#StandWithRussia” while also creating disinfo around America’s longstanding allyship with Ukraine?
He’s also connected to the Russian dictator who is definitely NOT our ally.
