AT LAST: They had the ways, the means and now the goods–show us Trump’s taxes!

FAKE BILLIONAIRE: Trump's taxes show what we've always known

The House Ways and Means Committee has succeeded where so many others have failed: after a long and valiant court fight, the panel is now in possession of six years of Donald Trump’s tax returns. *cue evil laughter*

Trump's tax returns

NBC News reported Wednesday that the Treasury Department had complied with the Supreme Court’s decision which paved the way for the disclosure of Trump’s tax returns to Ways and Means.

Trump’s pal John Roberts did him a solid and delayed the transfer of the documents earlier this month, but ultimately, the high court voted last week to allow them to be released to the Committee.

There has to be so much criming in six years of his taxes, but the Committee seriously needs to shake a lame-duck feather and do something with them while Democrats squeeze every last minute out of their finals weeks in control of the House.

The tax-evading Orange Menace is already in trouble in New York for fraud–he’s accused of fluctuating the value of his properties based on how much he could save on his taxes–and no one knows what treasures the Democrats might find, or exactly what they plan to do with this brand-new goldmine cache.

There’s a fairly short window here before the leaks start, because it’s 2022, so it’s anyone’s guess as to what we can expect from the Ways and Means Committee next.

NBC also reported that Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) was tight-lipped with reporters on Wednesday, and refused to answer direct questions about Trump’s taxes.

“I expect to see this through,” Neal said, evading a question about whether or not the Committee was in possession of the tax returns.

Neal would only tell the press that he was “legally obligated not to disclose” too much information.

“That’s the best answer I can give you…I’ll have better answers [after meeting] with the attorneys,” Neal said.

It’s fun watching Trump lose in court a lot, isn’t it? The wheels of justice may move at a glacial pace, but when they arrive, they don’t disappoint.
