NY vs. TRUMP: Here's why Michael Cohen thinks his old boss will finally be indicted soon

The wheels of justice have always moved at a glacial pace, but they seem to be solidly frozen when it comes to holding Donald Trump accountable.

How many times have we heard from various cronies, former associates, and legal experts that there’s enough evidence to indict the lifelong criminal who just announced another presidential run?

But The New York Times–aka The Stockholm Syndrome Sentinel when it comes to Trump, with Maggie Haberman as its leader–has just run another breathless piece about the Manhattan District Attorney’s office making a move to “jump-start its criminal investigation into Donald J. Trump.”

Clickbait or nah? Because I’m old enough to remember this:

Michael Cohen expressed dismay at reports that the Manhattan DA's office may be dropping its criminal investigation into Donald Trump.

Nah, says Michael “Mikey the C” Cohen, who knows more than a little something about the focus of DA Alvin Bragg’s investigation into the hush money paid to Stormy Daniels.

The DA’s office first examined the $130,000 payment to the adult film actress years ago before changing direction to focus on Trump’s broader business practices. But the Times reports that Bragg and some of his deputies have recently indicated to associates, supporters, and at least one lawyer involved in the matter that they are “newly optimistic” about building a case against Trump.

It’s just plain cruel of them to keep teasing us like this.

If “no one is above the law”–which we’ve heard from Merrick Garland, Letitia James, Fani Willis, and various other people on the right side of legal stuff–can you all just stfu and prove it already? We’re EXHAUSTED over here.

If Mikey the C says it’s on, I want to believe it’s true. Because you know he wants Trump to pay for all of his criming even more than we all do.

I refuse to get any hopes up, because we’ve been down this road so many times.

This is ONE MAN, ffs. Just lock him up already.
