TACOS VS. SUBPOENAS: Biden Los Angeles trip demonstrates the clear difference between Trump himself

While most Americans were glued to their screens on Thursday as the January 6th House Select Committee unanimously voted to subpoena Donald Trump for his role in the efforts to overturn the 2020 Presidential election and the subsequent Capitol riot, his successor was swinging by a Los Angeles taco joint for some laughs along with his lunch.

President Biden was in LA for a West Coast trip that will also include a trip to Portland, when his motorcade made an unannounced stop at a taco restaurant called Tacos 1986, a name that pleases this Gen X’er SO MUCH.

Once again, President Biden set himself apart from TFG simply by showing off his more adventurous palate along with his easy way with everyone he meets. Trump always looks like he can’t wait to get away from anyone he’s talking to. Conversely, Biden’s notorious Irish gift of gab was on full display as he affably joked with the employees.

The President handed over $60 on a $16 lunch order. That’s my kind of customer, says this former restaurant host.

I just love the optics of Joe Biden hanging out in a cool LA taco joint while Donald Trump is fear-sharting in Florida over the subpoena and the SCOTUS denial. I bet the (legitimately elected) President was briefed about it while heading to the airport, said a few celebratory eff words, and then said something like “Hot damn, I could eat some tacos right about now!” and Karen Bass and Hilda Solis were all, “We know a place!”

President Biden got himself a chicken quesadilla. And not a ketchup bottle or a subpoena in sight. EAT THAT, MAGA!

PS to the President and Press Secretary/Eternal Shero Queen Karine: There are at least four different awesome ice cream places we can hit up in Portland, let’s do this!
