STAY IN YOUR LANE: Elon Musk plays war games with terrible Twitter advice about war in Ukraine

Elon Musk had his “you know what” handed to him on social media after tweeting an absurd solution to the war in Ukraine.

On Monday, the attention-thirsty Tesla CEO suggested accepting the illegal annexation of four Ukraine regions by Russian President Vladimir Putin as a way to avoid nuclear war.

Not sure if Musk is delusional or missed the part where a power-hungry demagogue invaded a sovereign nation, killed innocent men, women, and children, bombed residential areas, tortured prisoners of war, and threatened a nuclear holocaust if he doesn’t get his way – but the replies to his nonsensical tweet proved that many Americans think the former. The South African man-child’s suggestion that this will be the outcome of the war regardless, and that Crimea belonged to Russia, didn’t sit well with Ukrainian-American Aaron Parnas – whose father, Lev Parnas, was recently sentenced to 20 months in prison for his role in Trump-Ukraine scandal that led to the ex-President’s first impeachment trial. The younger Parnas tweeted: “Crimea is Ukraine.”

Other users weren’t as, how should I put it – polite. Reminding the “have to be in the spotlight,” scandal-plagued billionaire that it’s Russia, not Ukraine, that needs to make concessions.

The replies to Musk’s cringe-worthy tweet aren’t surprising – and neither is his flirtation with fascism. The world’s richest man is no stranger to criticism or condemnation for his words and his actions, with Twitter being the main platform used to troll America and the world. And much like his overhyped bid to buy the bluebird app, it usually ends in failure.

But the billionaire had at least one fan – Deputy Chair of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, who tweeted:

Kudos to @elonmusk! However, the shadowy agent has lost the cover. Deserves a new rank, fast. His next tweet will run like, Ukraine is
an artificial state. Anticipating.

Ironically, just months ago the Tesla Chief Executive challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to “single combat.” The prize? Ukraine. And just days after the war began in late February, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, reached out to Musk on Twitter for access to SpaceX-satellite-based internet service, Starlink, and he obliged, The Economic Times reported. Responding to a tweet Fedorov made thanking him for his help, Musk responded: “You are most welcome.”

As the GOP and MAGA fanatics throw their support behind a brutal authoritarian oligarch, Elon Musk’s sycophancy is on brand for the new Republican. However, it’s not surprising coming from a wishy-washy, self-important attention whore whose family made their fortune off of colonization and apartheid.
