OPINION: Ted Cruz is an opponent of democracy

CRUZ WHINE: Ted temporarily finds his spine and criticizes Trump

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz continues to show America that he hates our democracy and those who fight to keep it alive. If his role in the January 6th insurrection wasn’t enough, there is plenty of evidence that proves he’s far from the patriot he claims to be.

Ted Cruz Does Not Support Our Troops

Cruz called U.S. military service members “pansies” because they are becoming “woke.” How could anyone say they support the men and women who fight for our democracy by calling them pansies for being encouraged to be considerate to each other? That consideration is something our military has always practiced, teaching racial equality, consideration of others, and crime prevention since its inception.

He also showed disdain for defenders of democracy when he voted against the PACT Act, a bill that will take care of veterans who suffered from the burn pits in Afghanistan, celebrating his cruel NO vote with a callous fist bump.

If it wasn’t for Jon Stewart, who held him accountable, he would have voted no a second time. I have never seen a man with such a hatred for our veterans and current service members since Trump himself.

Ted Cruz Wants Another Insurrection

Just this week, Cruz voted against the bi-partisan Electoral Count Reform Act, a bill that will protect another January 6 attack on our presidential election. He was the only one who voted against this bill.

You can’t get any more anti-democracy than voting against a bill that is 100 percent pro-democracy.

It makes sense that he voted against it because he was a key co-conspirator of the January 6 attempted coup, inciting Trump supporters to storm Capitol Hill.

I believe he should be asked why he voted against it.

Ted Cruz Needs To Go Away

As you can see, there is a list growing of Ted Cruz’s treasonous acts that prove he hates democracy.

The only way to preserve our democracy is to vote him out of office.
