Trump is having a banner day – and by banner, I mean triggered. He’s using his struggling social media platform Truth Social to incoherently rant, and left-wing Twitter is enjoying the meltdown as Trump fear-mongered and praised his legal team in the same post.
It was recently reported that the former President’s newest attorney, former Florida Solicitor General Chris Kise not only demanded payment up front to represent Trump – but is a registered foreign agent working on behalf of the government of Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro – a regime not recognized as legitimate by the U.S. government – representing the country’s Attorney General Reinaldo Muñoz Pedroza.
Twitter pundits speculated that the disgraced former president’s latest outpouring of rage and defensiveness was inspired by the ever-tightening legal dragnet.
HAHAHA. Looks like someone told him Corcoran is a witness in the investigation into him and that his $3M lawyer Kise is a registered agent for Venezuela and Maduro. pic.twitter.com/DTYcX4M0tj

He is so terrified of what is coming—its amazing how he can’t help himself and has to post these stream of consciousness deranged & delusional rants which get more bizarre every day.
The random capitalization he always includes is so bizarre. pic.twitter.com/U3wirkO9jd

Since consistency isn’t his forte, Trump also took the time on his Truth Social platform to applaud himself for being the driving force behind Republican Senate candidates J.D. Vance (OH) and Dr. Mehmet Oz (PA). Both are trailing their Democratic opponents in the polls – but Trump isn’t one to let the truth get in the way of his “truthing.”

If the rally in Ohio for J.D. Vance is anything like the fascist dog-whistling of the event Trump held a few weekends ago in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, for Dr. Oz, we can expect a rambling, authoritarian, self-important speech full of hate-mongering and inflammatory, bigoted rhetoric.
The tighter the noose gets, the more unhinged Trump becomes. The narcissistic ex-President knows the walls are closing in. Changing attorneys as often as he changes the narrative, the revelations that the latest addition to his legal team is a registered foreign agent make the investigation into whether he violated the Espionage Act even more suspect. Hiring a foreign agent in a case involving the mishandling of classified and top secret documents – some so sensitive only a handful of authorized individuals had access — is highly suspect.
In a recent interview with conservative radio host, Hugh Hewitt, Donald Trump made several references to the potential for violence if he is indicted, saying the American people wouldn’t “sit still,” and there would be “problems.”
The former President has also promised pardons to all those arrested in connection with Jan. 6th.
Trump is setting the narrative as the clock ticks on his freedom – and the details should worry us all.
