“INDIVIDUAL 2”: Trump attorney Christina Bobb is in the hot seat

"INDIVIDUAL 2": Trump attorney Christina Bobb is in the hot seat

TV host-turned-Trump attorney Christina Bobb is referred to as “Individual 2” — rather than being identified as Trump’s counsel — in a newly released version of the affidavit supporting the FBI-executed search warrant at the ex-president’s Mar-a-Lago estate. This is leading to speculation that Bobb is already being investigated on criminal charges for her role in concealing the existence of additional classified documents in the former president’s possession.

Bobb was recently thrust into the spotlight as a key player in the removal and storage of top secret government documents by Trump – and, apparently, in misleading federal investigators.

According to the affidavit, on May 11, “an attorney representing FPOTUS, ‘FPOTUS COUNSEL l,’ agreed to accept service of a grand jury subpoena from a grand jury sitting in the District of Columbia sent to him via email by one of the prosecutors handling this matter for DOJ ‘DOJ COUNSEL.’ The subpoena was directed to the custodian of records for the Office of Donald J. Trump.”

The Department of Justice also requested that a “sworn certification” be provided by the custodian – Individual 2 aka, Christina Bobb.

When federal investigators returned to Mar-a-Lago on June 3rd, both Bobb and fellow Trump attorney Evan Corcoran were present, although only Corcoran is referred to as the former President’s counsel in the document.

“On June 3, 2022, three FBI agents and DOJ COUNSEL arrived at the PREMISES to accept receipt of the materials. In addition to FPOTUS COUNSEL 1, another individual, hereinafter “INDIVIDUAL 2,” was also present as the custodian of records for FPOTUS’s post-presidential office.”

After presenting the FBI with a single Redweld envelope, Bobb provided investigators with a Certification Letter – which we now know to be misleading – stating:

“Based upon the information that has been provided to me, I am authorized to ce1iify, on behalf of the Office of Donald J. Trump, the following: a. A diligent search was conducted of the boxes that were moved from the White House to Florida; b. This search was conducted after receipt of the subpoena, in order to locate any and all documents that are responsive to the subpoena; c. Any and all responsive documents accompany this ce1iification; and d. No copy, written notation, or reproduction of any kind was retained as to any responsive document.”

Out of the 15 boxes returned to the National Archives in January 2022, “184 unique documents with classification markings,” were discovered. 38 unique documents were contained in the Redweld envelope – including 17 marked TOP SECRET.

It was recently reported that Bobb obtained her own counsel, which is a smart move given her boss’s affinity for throwing his loyalists under the bus. The law regarding the removal and storage of national defense information (NDI), is explicit:

“Whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals, covers up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States or any case filed under title 11 , or in relation to or contemplation of any such matter or case, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.”

Multiple pictures have surfaced of Christina Bobb meeting at the Willard Hotel on January 5th with allies of the former president — known insurrectionists and coup co-conspirators with key roles in the Capitol attack and subsequent attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

With criminal investigations into the events of January 6th underway, hopefully, for her sake, Bobb’s new attorneys are more than competent.  Meanwhile, as justice closes in on the former One America News host, we can imagine that Donald Trump will soon be claiming that “he never heard of her.”
