JUSTICE: Ten-year old Ohio girl's rapist arrested, proving conspiracy theories wrong

An arrest has been made in the case of the pregnant 10-year-old Ohio girl, reports The Columbus Dispatch. Pregnant by her rapist and past the abortion deadline in Ohio, the six-weeks-along child had to travel to neighboring Indiana to receive the needed reproductive health care, causing worldwide outrage and nationwide condemnation.

President Joe Biden echoed the sentiment of many in America, saying, “Imagine being that little girl. I’m serious. Just imagine being that little girl.”

Arrested in Ohio on Tuesday for the rape, 27-year-old Gerson Fuentes is being held on a $2 million bond. He admitted to raping the girl on at least two occasions, and Fuentes’ DNA is being tested against the aborted fetal tissue, according to Detective Jeffrey Huhn, who testified at the child rapist’s arraignment.

Rupert Murdoch, the owner of right-wing media outlets Fox News, The New York Post, and The Wall Street Journal, used his propaganda machines to cast doubt on the story. Attorney General Dave Yost (R-OH) told Fox News host Jesse Watters that “We have regular contact with prosecutors and local police and sheriffs — not a whisper anywhere.”

Yost doubled down on his accusation that it’s most likely a “fabrication.” He told USA Today:

“I know the cops and prosecutors in this state. There’s not one of them that wouldn’t be turning over every rock, looking for this guy and they would have charged him. They wouldn’t leave him loose on the streets…I’m not saying it could not have happened. What I’m saying to you is there is not a damn scintilla of evidence.”

Murdoch’s companies pushed unbiased claims that the young Ohio girl’s story was a “hoax,” further dismissing what has surely been a traumatizing experience, compounded by a pregnancy, abortion, and now publicity. Their hunger to deride President Joe Biden — and thirst for culture wars — are clouding the horror that has been foisted upon a ten-year-old child.

According to Assistant Franklin County Ohio Prosecutor Dan Meyer, the little girl had just recently turned ten – making it likely she was impregnated at nine years old. Facing a potential life sentence, Fuentes spoke through an interpreter when he admitted to the rape.

As far as Attorney General Dave Yost goes, when the news broke of the perpetrator being captured — contradicting his claims and proving that the story was false – there were no interviews or grandstanding on Fox News. No, Ohio’s top prosecutor unceremoniously replied, “We rejoice anytime a child rapist is taken off the streets.”
