Fox News has proven yet again to be the network of coup conspirators, with Mark Levin, host of the show Life, Liberty, and Levin, joining the ever-growing list of those complicit in the GOP’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Levin exchanged a dozen emails with former Trump attorney John Eastman that are believed to be relevant to the January 6th committee’s investigation of the Capitol Riot.

Eastman – in an attempt to block the release of his email to the committee – contends his communications with Levin were in a professional capacity. His attorney Charles Burnham told Politico:

“Dr. Eastman has collaborated on litigation matters with him in the past, and the twelve documents at issue here, addressed to his personal email address rather than his media address, were communications in that capacity.”

Levin has been outspoken about the election results – and methods to change them. On November 5, 2020, he sent this now-censored tweet:

Levin has used both his Fox News show and his Westwood One radio show – The Mark Levin Show – to publicly criticize Biden and promote fellow insurrectionists including former White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows. He praised Meadows on a December 2021 episode of The Mark Levin Show, saying that “life in the US had never been better” in reference to Meadows’ role as then-President Trump’s right-hand man.

Long-time friends, Levin is a former fellow of the Claremont Institute – a position Eastman currently holds – and it was on Levin’s show that Eastman first garnered Trump’s attention. On an episode of Life, Liberty & Levin, airing May 12, 2019, Eastman criticized Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, prompting Trump to tweet, from his now-suspended account, “Thank you @MarkLevinShow and John Eastman.

Almost a month later, Trump tweeted again:

“Brilliant Constitutional Lawyer, Dr. John Eastman, said the Special Prosecutor (Mueller) should have NEVER been appointed in the first place. The entire exercise was fundamentally illegal. The Witch Hunt should never happen to another President of the U.S. again. A TOTAL SCAM!”

Two months later, Eastman would be meeting with Trump – and later Bill Barr — in an unsuccessful attempt to convince Barr of Trump’s authority to impose limits on birthright citizenship.

While Eastman doesn’t directly name Mark Levin, as revealed by Politico – all roads lead to Levin, who is described by Eastman as a “dual-role attorney, member of the media, radio host” and “former President of public interest law firm.”

Levin’s anti-Biden rhetoric and public statements are reminiscent of Trump’s January 6th speech at the Ellipse. Media Matters played a clip of Levin saying on fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity’s May 19th show,:

“As far as Joe Biden goes…we’re gonna have an election in November. If we don’t crush this opposition, if we don’t win in 2024, America is gone. It’s not Vladimir Putin and his invasion of Ukraine, it’s Biden and the Democrats of their invasion of DC.

Once the “January 6th Stalinist Committee”, as Levin calls it, gets its hands on his emails with Eastman, Levin can join Hannity, Carlson, Kilmeade, and Ingraham on the ever-increasing list of Fox News seditionists.
