MISTER MISOGYNY: Rep. Matt Gaetz posts insulting tweet and social media tells him where to go

After the leak of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion that indicates that the Supreme Court is getting ready to ignore precedence and overturn the Roe v. Wade decision that enshrined a woman’s right to determine their own reproductive destiny as a constitutional imperative, some Republicans are showing their true misogynistic colors in their responses to the news. Take accused sex offender Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL), for instance.

Gaetz posted to Twitter this bit of regressive and stereotypical questioning about the profile of pro-choice women upset by the anticipated rollback of their hard-earned rights to control their own bodies, as only a man who has allegedly paid under-aged girls for sex through his Venmo account could.

One might reply with the question of how many men celebrating this historic rollback of civil rights are under-educated incels who have to pay women to have sex with them after their tax-payer-funded expense account dinners, but that would be a low blow to the likes of Rep. Gaetz.

Naturally, a revealing tweet like the one that Gaetz so foolishly and thoughtlessly posted would not go unresponded to by the women whom he so sneeringly denigrates and their enlightened male allies.

Here is a sample of the blowback that Florida’s favorite right-wing extremist and Trump toady received after his ill-conceived and thoroughly sexist post.

Yes, “low-class white trash pedophile” and “lecherous, pathetic, child sex trafficking creep” seem to be widely shared assessments of the controversial Florida congressional space-waster and minor dating aficionado.

At this point, it really must be said that it is only by ridding Congress of the likes of Matt Gaetz and his extremist cohorts like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Paul Gosar, and the many others too numerous to mention that will put our nation back on a path to reproductive freedom and equality among genders.

Hold onto your anger as you cast your vote in the November midterms and flush this garbage out of office.
