Donald Trump’s loyalties are being called into question after he issued a press release today seeming to welcome Russia’s sanctions on President Biden and a dozen other U.S. officials (and former officials, in the case of Hillary Clinton).

Trump published a press release this morning — which was dutifully posted to Twitter by his press representative, Liz Harrington — in which he welcomed the sanctions as perhaps becoming the first step in confirming one of his pet conspiracy theories regarding Biden’s financial ties to Russia: his accusations that Hunter Biden accepted $3.5 million from the wife of a former mayor of Moscow, an idea that has been previously and thoroughly discredited.
Trump’s use of the Russian sanctions as a political tool to revive his unproven and discredited claims of malfeasance by the Biden family in its supposed private financial dealings with Moscow inspired vigorous pushback by those commenting on the Twitter post.

There never was 3.5 million, but yes, he's asking for Russia's help again

Putin banning world leaders from entering his country is absolutely hilarious.
No decent world leader & political official would be caught dead in Russia. 😂
That being said, the 2024 Republican National Convention will probably take place in Moscow.

If Putin is supposedly so scared of big strong President Trump punishing him I guess he is not worried about Trump being reinstated or reelected then?
Does all MAGA logic fall apart when you apply the slightest additional layer of thinking?

Trump’s inability to process the events in Ukraine in any manner other than how it relates to his own self-interest is reason enough for his disqualification for ever holding the presidency again in the United States — as if his multiple other alleged crimes weren’t enough to make that more than perfectly clear to all but his most fanatical brainwashed followers.
The fact that Trump himself wasn’t on Putin’s sanctions list pretty much tells Americans all that they need to know about where Trump’s loyalties remain: with the man who helped him win the presidency to begin with — Vladimir Putin.
It’s time that the United States government reward Donald Trump with the proper sanctions for his own behavior: accountability for his actions through a lengthy, lengthy prison sentence.
