Donald Trump’s Fox News call draws “shocked” response

For almost every person who fervently hopes they never have to see that unnatural orange complexion again, there is still some supporter of Donald Trump who is desperately awaiting the latest word from their diabolical oracle.

Outside of a brief appearance at the CPAC conference last month, Trump hasn’t been able to command the attention and adulation he has craved, primarily due to his banishment from social media because he violated just about every platform’s prohibition on disseminating false information about the 2020 election results.

Thus he is reduced to making appearances on Fox News — a platform which he has harshly criticized in the past as insufficiently doctrinaire when they have strayed from his brightly packaged parcel of lies — as a disembodied voice calling into the programs hosted by his remaining true believers at the network.

That’s exactly what Trump did last night as he phoned it in to speak with Maria Bartiromo, a frequent regurgitator of the lies of the disgraced ex-president.

Vox’s Aaron Rupar conveniently featured the lowlights of the conversation that ensued on his Twitter feed which we will present here for your edification and astonishment at the sound of a man who can’t let go of the damaging and delusional “big lie” that it was he, and not Joe Biden, who won the last presidential election and who has resorted to promoting his greatest hits of falsehoods and grievances in his attempt to save face and retain any semblance of relevancy.

Add your name to call on prosecutors to ARREST DONALD TRUMP for his crimes!

Yes, we all recall the over half a million people dead from the H1N1 flu virus.

Oh, wait, no, that was the COVID-19 coronavirus that Trump lied and dithered about resulting in our current national disaster after he ignored advice from scientists and followed his political instincts in downplaying the seriousness of the crisis.

With the ex-president facing considerable derision for his failure to participate in a public service announcement that every other living president took part in that urged Americans to get vaccinated, Maria Bartiromo gave Trump an easy opportunity to weigh in on the topic, an opportunity that he predictably bungled.

Trump’s continued promotion of his seditionist lie is the reason that he no longer has access to his Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts, yet he still is out there repeating his invented narrative to any platform that will allow him.

Yes, Trump wants credit for developing the vaccine for a virus for which he promoted so many false cures and assured the nation would go away by last April.

All the more reason that the only media coverage that news networks should be offering about Donald Trump is coverage of the efforts to hold him accountable for his multiple misdeeds and crimes while in office.

Still, as long as Trump continues to help Fox News boost its ratings, expect to hear more of his voice — accompanied by his airbrushed photo — on their airwaves in the weeks ahead.
