Donald Trump Jr. seems to have found an opportunity in the death of extremist right-wing radio propaganda purveyor Rush Limbaugh.

While other deplorables sit shiva for the departed hate-monger, Don Jr. is “rushing” in to fill the breach for people who just can’t get enough of angry takes on the dangers that America faces from progressive forces pushing for living wages, sensible gun control laws, universal healthcare, and immigration reform.
Junior’s over the top rant this weekend attacking teachers unions and their opposition to reopening schools — before it is safe to do so in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic that has already led to the deaths of nearly half a million Americans — sent him climbing up the trending chart on Twitter as angry parents and teachers reacted to his vitriol and ill-informed opinions.
That he recorded his diatribe against a background wall filled with automatic weapons made it seems like he was making his remarks from the underground headquarters of an insurgent militia, something that does not resonate well with many given the participation of so many cos-play wanna-be soldiers in the violent attack on the Capitol that his father helped incite last month.
The Twitter community’s responses to his video were as fast and furious as his amped-up harangue.
This looks and sounds like an extremist video posted from a bunker of undisclosed location pic.twitter.com/LNWmiUN96I

Don Jr. in competition with Colorado gun-rights fanatic Lauren Boebert to see who can rant the best in front of a wall of assault weapons. https://t.co/1becwhqSJC

He’s far from well. And the @fbi needs to pay attention to the dog whistle in the back. Come on now, give me a break.

I appreciate the journalist who broadcast from in front of her bookcase full of protection: mini pads, maxi's with wings, and tampons.
Damn I wish I'd bookmarked that one!

He saw Boebert do it and thought it was a winner. We should ask if he’s hiding out with Ali.

Mocking Don Jr has rightfully become sport. But this video serves a greater purpose if we listen to his anti-teacher-union message. This rhetoric entered the courts in 2018/2020 and the RNC ‘20. It’s a fear tactic to promote GOP-approved homeschooling.pic.twitter.com/WYOQtJf9nc

Whether Don Jr. is auditioning for a role as the 47th president in the mold of his father or for taking over Limbaugh’s regular radio slot is immaterial.
His views and opinions are as execrable as his dad’s and the rest of the extremist right-wing crazies who’ve brought this nation to the nadir of its existence to date.
Only by the complete and total repudiation of the Trump family and Trumpism as a deplorable doctrine can this country move forward to a prosperous and peaceful future.
Let’s leave the political grifters behind and forge a truly united nation based on mutual support, understanding, and respect.
