Donald Trump’s deranged crusade to prove that he was correct when he incorrectly stated this past weekend that Hurricane Dorian might hit Alabama continues to spiral out of control.
The president has been incessantly tweeting about his blunder, seemingly incapable of thinking about anything else. His continued inability to admit he was wrong has taken on a disturbingly pathological tint and once again the American people are being confronted with the fact that our president is almost certainly deeply mentally unwell.
After angrily ranting about his mistake and insisting it was not a mistake this morning, he calmed down for a bit in the middle of the day. Now he’s right back in the thick of it.

Trump took to Twitter again to share a bizarre (and pathetic) video attacking CNN. The clip shows Trump making weird faces and then cuts to CNN coverage of Hurricane Dorian before cutting to footage of an exploding CNN logo. It’s incredibly childish and further proof that the president is utterly fixated on this story.

Not long after the president shared the video, CNN’s Oliver Darcy responded to the attack. He pointed out that the only involved party actually sharing fake news about Hurricane Dorian is the occupant of the Oval Office.
“He wants left to be right, and right to be upside down,” he added, aptly summarized the president’s total untethering from objective reality.
Darcy is spot on. The MAGA movement now exists firmly within a fantasy world in which Donald Trump can do no wrong and say no wrong. Even if he states something that is inarguably false his unhinged followers still rush to his defense. It’s a dangerous cult of personality which the president continues to cultivate with stunts like this. Come 2020, it’s imperative we vote him out and restore sanity to the White House.
The President is spending his Friday afternoon sharing anti-CNN memes & videos attacking The Washington Post for "fake news." This caps off a week of the President himself peddling actual fake news about Alabama/Dorian. He wants left to be right, and right to be upside down.
