President Trump angrily took to Twitter this morning to defend himself from the reasonable accusations that he ditched his World War II commemoration ceremony in Poland in order to hang out and play golf instead.

Of course, Trump did go off to play golf instead, which prompted London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, to publicly mock him for being “clearly busy dealing with a hurricane out on the golf course.”

Trump has spent a significant amount of time on the golf course as president at enormous taxpayer expense and spends most of the rest of his days watching television but still desperately tries to present himself as a hard-working, nose-to-the-grindstone kind of guy.
His knee-jerk reaction to any and all criticism, of course, is an angry Twitter outburst, and he did not disappoint on Tuesday morning.

Trump has despised Sadiq Khan ever since the London Mayor trashed him for being “ignorant” in a pre-2016 election interview and has used every opportunity to fire back at him, no matter how inappropriate the context. Here, he couldn’t even be bothered to spell the man’s name right:

….”knife crime,” which is totally out of control in London. People are afraid to even walk the streets. He is a terrible mayor who should stay out of our business!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Trump tweet without a nasty dig at his predecessor. President Obama’s successful presidency weighs heavily on Trump, who seemingly cannot abide the thought that a black man could be a better leader than himself.
Trump has spent far more time on the golf course than President Obama and is set to tank the economy he inherited from Obama with his reckless and overcompensating trade wars with China. The idea that golfing is somehow comparable to “exercise” or “traveling” is simply laughable — and his implicitly racist feud with Sadiq Khan is just one more area where Trump exposes himself as a weak and hateful little man.
