Trump just accidentally unleashed a wave of mockery by claiming Ivanka and Jared “work hard”

There is nothing subtle about Donald Trump’s nepotism. His daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner have risen to positions of incredible power in the U.S. government based on nothing beyond their familial ties to the president.

The two little plutocrats been traipsing around the world since he was sworn in, playing at diplomacy and enriching themselves in the process. They are utterly unqualified to be representing America the world stage by any metric, to say nothing of their blatant kleptocratic intentions. To any American with even a small semblance of awareness the First Daughter and Kushner are a national embarrassment.

President Trump, of course, insists that the two of them are hard-working public servants, despite all the evidence to the contrary. This morning he took to Twitter to commend them as “incredible people,” adding that he cannot believe they took a break from working to post a picture of them at sunset because “few work harder.”

The backlash was swift and overwhelming, as Twitter users flooded Trump with mocking comments about Ivanka and Kushner. Many of them zeroed in on the scam artist angle, with the word “grifter” popping up more than once. The overwhelming feeling was one of outrage, anger that these two criminal clowns are still in power.

Other users linked to articles showcasing the overt corruption taking place under this administration, with one user sharing a piece about Ivanka receiving initial approval for 16 trademarks from China. One need not be a veteran of geopolitics to figure out why the Chinese government, our ostensible adversary, might want to ingratiate itself with the Trump family personally.

The criticisms and mocking remarks were myriad.

Twitter users also flocked to the original tweet on Ivanka’s page and hit her and Kushner with a wave of tweets every bit as brutal and well-deserved. Feel no sympathy for these miscreants, they are eroding our democracy more and more with each passing day.
