Ocasio-Cortez just brilliantly trolled Trump after he included her in a bizarre poll on his website

In a very short matter of time freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has become one of the most hated and frequently attacked targets of the Republican Party and its myriad propaganda tentacles.

Conservatives are clearly terrified of AOC’s passion and ability to clearly and convincingly communicate progressive ideas to the American people. She poses an existential threat to the plutocratic, reactionary agenda of the GOP and Republicans know it. Donald Trump himself has insulted and attacked her on numerous occasions, in no small part because he loves to be seen going after prominent people of color.

Now, the president has taken things a step further. In a truly pathetic show of insecurity, Trump and his team have released a poll on their website asking visitors who they think has a “better vision for America’s future.” The only two options available are Trump and Ocasio-Cortez. The entire poll is riddled with loaded and skewed questions that insult the intelligence of the viewer and shuttle him/her towards pro-Trump answers.

It should be pointed out how truly weird it is for the president, ostensibly the most powerful man in the world, to be focusing on a first-term Congresswoman in such a fashion.

Senator Bernie Sanders shared a screenshot of the poll with the bubble next to AOC’s name selected and the caption “That was an easy choice.”

Ocasio-Cortez herself quickly responded to Sanders’s tweet, trolling Trump in the process. She compared her vision of America’s future with the president’s, throwing into stark relief the difference between their respective proposals. While she’s offering a way forward that includes Medicare for All, Tuition-free K-16 education, a Green New Deal, and the abolition of for-profit prisons, Trump is only offering a pointless wall.

For any rational person, the choice is clear. AOC and the Democratic Party in general are offering a plan that will materially improve the lives of millions of Americans. Trump and the Republicans offer nothing more than a xenophobic wall that would accomplish nothing beyond wasting billions of taxpayer dollars.
