Trump just fired off a bewildering attack on Morning Joe and Mika’s wedding

Our reality television president once again displayed to the world what a petty little man he is this morning with a particularly pathetic version of his daily tweetstorm. He took aim at his former friends and currently sworn enemies, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski Scarborough of Morning Joe, referring to them as “Morning Joe & Psycho.”

The president mocked their ratings, something which he has always demonstrated an unhealthy obsession with and claimed that their spreading of “Fake News” has caused their audience to shrink. Laughably, he added that the show was “sane” when the two supported him and used their show to help elect him. At this point, it should go without saying that supporting Donald Trump in any capacity is the furthest thing from sane.

For some reason, Trump followed the tweet up by tagging the Fox & Friends Twitter account, perhaps in the hopes that they would support and praise this particular outburst and aim their rhetorical guns at Morning Joe.

While most of us have become all but inured to this kind of behavior from Trump by now, it must be pointed out that it is not normal for the President of the United States, the commander-in-chief of Earth’s most powerful military, and the ostensible leader of the free world to be randomly ragetweeting about two morning television personalities.

It appears the first two tweets weren’t enough to get the ire out of his system, because almost two hours later Trump attacked the television hosts again, this time by bringing up the fact they were with him for one of his major victories during the Republican primaries. He claimed to have “reminded” his staff about this fact because apparently, White House staff don’t have anything better to do than listen to the president ramble about his old social circle.

While he clearly thinks his former friendship with the two can be used to discount their current criticisms of him, it really does the opposite. The fact that two former friends think so poorly of his performance as president is a testament to how utterly terrible he is at the job.

Trump ended the Twitter onslaught by bizarrely bringing up Scarborough and Brzezinski’s wedding and insisting that despite the latter’s claim he did not ask to preside over their marriage, which sounds exactly like something this ego-bloated creature would do.

He also got in a shot at Rep. Elijah Cummings, the man who actually officiated the wedding and who Trump has hit with racist attacks in the past few days. Trump called him the “King of Baltimore,” an ironic moniker coming from a man with deeply authoritarian tendencies.

All in all, the tweetstorm was a deeply embarrassing performance on the part of the president, especially his claim that he doesn’t watch Morning Joe when it’s clear he can’t stop watching it. It’s a wonder that anyone can look at this man and still take him seriously as president.

Brzezinski has already responded to the tweets by brutally slamming him on MSNBC.
