President Trump kicked off his Sunday morning by continuing a racist feud against a prominent Democratic politician — his second in as many weeks — while being gleefully egged on by his team of Wal-Mart Rasputins at FOX and Friends.

The president spent all of Saturday hurling barely disguised racist vitriol at Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, over his criticism of the president for his appalling treatment of migrants at the border.
He continued to do so on Sunday morning, dragging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) into the fray while smearing both Democrats for issues in their home districts. His attacks misrepresent what the job of a Congressional representative actually is and blames the reps for enormous and complex structural social and economic issues that have arisen largely due to the machinations of rapacious wealthy racists like Donald Trump.
….a look, the facts speak far louder than words! The Democrats always play the Race Card, when in fact they have done so little for our Nation’s great African American people. Now, lowest unemployment in U.S. history, and only getting better. Elijah Cummings has failed badly!

Speaking of failing badly, has anyone seen what is happening to Nancy Pelosi’s district in San Francisco. It is not even recognizeable lately. Something must be done before it is too late. The Dems should stop wasting time on the Witch Hunt Hoax and start focusing on our Country!

“Elijah Cummings has had his chance to address it (crime & conditions in Baltimore) for decades, and he hasn’t gotten it done.” @PeteHegseth @foxandfriends How can he get it done when he just wants to use his Oversight Committee to hurt innocent people and divide our Country!

The nation really needs to begin paying closer attention to how the President’s worst impulses are fanned and energized by common white nationalist and right-wing talking points from FOX News, which he often repeats word-for-word in his digital outbursts.

Media Matters for America researcher Matthew Gertz tracked how the president’s tweets — even the ones that don’t explicitly quote a FOX Host — matched up perfectly with FOX & Friends segments:
Fox & Friends addressed Pelosi's response to Trump's Cummings tweet at the top of the show, with Hegseth complaining that Dems will always call Trump racist but there's a "systemic culture of poverty" in his district.

At this point, there’s not much more we can expect from the President. He’s a racist and will continue to use racist tropes and the same old tired talking points with the full-throated backing of the entire right-wing political machine.
We can protest and angrily tweet all we want, but the only thing that will put a stop to this incessant avalanche of divisive hate speech and the bullying of people of color is to dedicate all our efforts to electing a Democrat in 2020 and giving our party the Congressional majority we need to roll back all the damage that Trump and his cronies have done over the past four years.
