The Trump youth organization just discovered they projected a doctored, mocking presidential seal behind him at speech

This week, President Trump gave a speech at the Turning Point USA “youth” conference, blessing the assembled crowd of aspiring racists and future restraining order recipients with an appearance from the MAGAfather himself.

But the organization itself is in turmoil as they struggle to find out who replaced the seal projected behind the president with a doctored image that mocked the president. A spokesperson for the organization — which is to say someone willing to shamelessly work for perhaps the single most intellectually bankrupt conservative organization in the country — told The Washington Post that he is working to figure out who is responsible.

The scandal arose from the fact that the seal, which the infamously ignorant Trump failed to notice, featured a two-headed eagle almost exactly like the Russian coat of arms. The clear reference to the Russian interference that helped illegitimately elect Trump was made even more insulting by the fact that the bird was gripping a bunch of golf clubs, clearly mocking Trump’s penchant for spending more time golfing than working as president.

The Post also reports that the hilarious seal was complimented with a banner that said “45 es un titere” in Spanish, which translates to “45 is a puppet.” The choice of Spanish is presumably a bit of revenge for Trump’s repeated demonization of Mexicans and other Hispanic immigrants.

“I can’t figure out where the breakdown was — but it was a last minute throw-up, and that’s all it was. I can’t figure out who did it yet,” the spokesman said to The Post. He blamed the incident on a  “last-minute A/V mistake,” although the specific, trolling nature of the image makes one wonder how this could have possibly been unintentional.

“Somewhere there was a breakdown. I think it was as simple as a rushed move throwing up an image, and it was the wrong one. It was an A/V mistake … it certainly wasn’t our intention,” the spokesman went on, demonstrating the same inability to take responsibility that his organization’s fetishized president regularly exhibits.

The irony in all of this is that Turning Point USA and its deeply ignorant leader Charlie Kirk regularly flood the internet with all manner of misinformation and lies. It appears that with this seal and its accurate representation of Trump they’ve finally, even if accidentally, managed to tell the truth.
