Trump just launched an appallingly racist, lie-filled Twitter rant at “certain people”

President Trump, never one to let his foot off the gas once he’s channeling racism, tripled-down on his appalling attacks on a group of four progressive Democratic Congresswomen in a series of tweets on Monday afternoon.

As the progressive freshwomen — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-WI) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) — held a press conference condemning his discriminatory and xenophobic attacks, Trump took to Twitter to repeat all the smears he unloaded at his morning press conference for the whole world to see.

Accusing his enemies of anti-Semitism, being communists, mocking 9/11, and supporting terrorism, Trump pulled out nearly every page in the entire right-wing smear playbook to attack the prominent women while touting his “accomplishments” — all of which he inherited from the Obama administration.

It is deeply disturbing to see him utilize this kind of rhetoric so casually, especially when Ocasio-Cortez and Omar are already pummeled with death threats from the President’s psychotic supporters on a daily basis.

Those threats are certainly going to spike in the next few days as the president paints huge target on their backs, demonizing them as un-American and painting them as “foreigners.”

Possibly worried about his internal polling, the President has clearly decided that the way to win in 2020 is to be even more racist and tell even more lies than he did the first time around. It’s up to us to nominate the best possible candidate we can, one who can unite both the progressive and the moderate halves of our party, and make sure Trump’s racism is put an end to for good.
