The Trump administration is notorious for its loose relationship with the truth and for its efforts to rewrite reality to suit the President’s ego and agenda. From “alternative facts” to outright, shameless lies, it’s gotten to the point where the Trump team can’t be trusted to tell the truth on anything.
But now, they’ve started telling you that the words you’re reading with your own two eyes aren’t actually what they are.
Matt Wolking, the deputy communications director for Trump’s 2020 campaign, accused the media of “lying” when they said that the president told Democratic progressive women of color to “go back” to their countries.
Anyone who says the president told members of Congress to go back to where they came from is lying.
He told them to “Then come back and show us how it is done.” pic.twitter.com/7pmb0DNz1c

Trump’s tweet literally says “why don’t they go back” so either Wolking is incapable of reading or is attempting to tell the nation that they shouldn’t be believing what their own eyes can clearly see.
It’s absolutely ridiculous but somehow unsurprising that we’ve come to this point. It was only a matter of time before the Trump team tried to pull the “who do you believe? Me? Or your lying eyes?”

I hope I see you on the street so I can point and laugh and laugh and laugh at the saddest little pathetic wannabe I’ve ever seen. I know you’re used to it, but won’t it be refreshing that a woman’s pointing and laughing while you still have your clothes on for once?

They’re American, dipshit. So what you’re saying is they should take a road trip and report back. pic.twitter.com/dKj48IEirj

You should know that the person on whose behalf you humiliate yourself day in and day out probably doesn't know who you are, and if he does, he almost certainly thinks you're a worthless loser. (He'd be right, too!) Have a nice day.
