Trump lapdog Lindsey Graham just got a serious 2020 Democratic challenger

Over the past few years, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has established himself as President Trump’s most obsequious lickspittle in the United States Senate. No matter how offensive or extreme the president’s actions or decisions become, he can be counted on to excuse and whitewash anything Trump does, even if it flies in the face of his own past statements or political beliefs that Graham has ostensibly held for years.

Desperately looking to shore up support among the hooting and baying chuds that make up South Carolina’s Republican primary voters, Graham has worked tirelessly to establish himself as the “MAGA” Senator and ride Trump’s coattails to re-election in 2020. “To every Republican, if you don’t stand behind this President, we’re not going to stand behind you,” proclaimed Graham at a recent GOP event.

MSNBC’s “Morning” Joe Scarborough recently summed up Graham’s behavior as having “basically sold his soul, sold his political soul, for, you know, 20 percentage points inside his own Republican party.”

All of a sudden, however, it’s not the Republican primary Graham needs to worry about.

South Carolina’s first black Democratic state party chair, Jamie Harrison, has announced that he will be running for Graham’s Senate seat in the 2020 elections.

In his powerful opening video, Harrison shares his moving life story of how he worked his way up out of poverty before swinging into a stinging takedown of Lindsey Graham, playing his own words back at him and hitting him in his weakest spot — his abrupt flip-flop on Trump.

South Carolina hasn’t elected a Democrat to statewide office since 1998, but Harrison is in position to score a huge victory if the cards are played right. Graham won re-election by ten points in 2014 — but he outraised his opponent by $10.5 million. If we play our cards right, a strong and heavily-supported candidate like Jaime Harrison could deliver a stunning blow to the GOP’s stranglehold on the Senate.
