FOX’s Bret Baier just blindsided Trump and his fans with surprising reaction to Mueller presser

Special Counsel Mueller broke two years of silence at 11 a.m. this morning to deliver a damning nine-minute official statement about his investigation of Russian election interference and the Trump campaign.

After watching Mueller, even Fox News came close to admitting that the President is lying about his innocence and the Special Counsel’s report proves it.

“As set forth in the report, after that investigation, if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mueller said during what also became his formal resignation announcement.

Fox anchor Brett Baier appeared mildly stunned immediately after Mueller’s presser, but managed to deliver an accurate analysis of his final words to his conservative viewership just two minutes after the Special Counsel concluded his remarks. (video embedded below)

“I was struck by the tone and tenor of those remarks as [Mueller] laid out his case wrapping up this report.

This was not, as the President says, time and time again, ‘No obstruction, no collusion.”

Finally, the truth is out, even on Fox News.

Baier continued:

“It was more nuanced than that, he said specifically, that they couldn’t find evidence sufficient to move forward with a crime on the issue of conspiracy on the ‘collusion’ part of the investigation of the Trump campaign.

He said specifically, if they had found that the president did not commit a crime on obstruction, they would’ve said that. . .”

The Fox host concluded that Attorney General Bill Barr misled the American public about the meaning and contents of the Mueller Report during his spin-filled public statements and press conferences.

Even conservative Fox News commentator Judge Napolitano stated plainly on air that he believes Mueller has evidence that Trump committed a crime.

Special Counsel Mueller’s only public statement after two years of investigation didn’t just address Trump’s obstruction of justice, but he also took care to direct attention to Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election.

“I will close by reiterating the central allegation of our indictments, that there were multiple systemic efforts to interfere in our election,” said Mueller about the 2016 election hacking campaign to support Donald Trump’s campaign, “and that allegation deserves the attention of every American.”
