Trump just sparked Memorial Day mass outrage with an utterly shameful tweetstorm

Donald Trump is perhaps the most unpatriotic president the United States has ever had. If his constant attacks on military men and woman and war heroes weren’t enough to prove that, his decision to tweet out a tasteless partisan attack on Memorial Day certainly does.

Rather than refrain from his usual mudslinging out of respect for this solemn day, he attacked Democrats for having suggested that he should be impeached, then went on to brag about his so-called “accomplishments,” mentioning the economy, military, judges, and jobs before sliming Democrats by calling them “obstructionists.” As usual, Trump made everything about himself and his insecure ego.

He wasn’t done there though, and Trump continued by slamming Congressional Democrats for getting “NOTHING” done and claimed that they want a “Do-Over on Mueller.” What exactly he thinks Democrats should be doing when he himself has failed to propose any actual legislative agenda is unclear.

Just last week he stormed out of an infrastructure meeting with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) after they refused his bad faith demand that all investigations into his administration end. The reason Congress isn’t getting anything substantial done right now is because there is a complete lack of leadership coming from the White House. The blame falls squarely at the feet of our deeply dysfunctional and incompetent president.

As for his claim about the Mueller Report, Democrats don’t need a do-over because the report was incredibly damning for President Trump, and pointed to ten different occasions on which he appears to have attempted to obstruct justice. The fact that the president’s handpicked Attorney General William Barr chose not to pursue charges doesn’t mean that Trump is innocent, it just means Barr is covering for his boss, choosing party over country.

Understandably, Americans were outraged to see their president behaving so shamefully on Memorial Day of all days, and he was quickly inundated with angry tweets.
