While jokes about Donald Trump’s semi-illiteracy have been a constant staple of his presidency, the nation was treated to a stunning display of how close to reality those jabs actually are by the man himself.

Keen-eyed photographers snapped some pictures of the president’s hand-written notes — scrawled in his customary Sharpie — from yesterday’s wild Rose Garden speech, and they were astonishing to behold.
“Dems have no achomlishments!” wrote the president in a rage. “They want to impeach me over acts THEY did!”
While it may seem to be enormously petty to criticize a man for typos on hastily-written notes, you really have to go out of your way to miss-spell “accomplishments” like that.

The president is notorious for his typo-riddled tweets which even autocorrect software can’t seem to overcome; some of the more famous ones, like “hamberders” and “smocking gun,” became their own memes at the hands of his social media critics.

The content of the president’s notes confirms that his storming out of the infrastructure meeting with Nancy Pelosi was nothing but a performative stunt to help dodge what could be a bruising political fight over spending within his own party.
He needed to justify to the nation why he intends on doing absolutely nothing for the rest of his presidency — and to soothe his own worried insecurities, which we can see in his frantic obsession with “achomlishments.”
