Reporters just revealed that Trump’s Rose Garden tantrum was pre-planned for pathetic, selfish reasons

This morning, the president apparently flew into a rage and stormed out of his meeting with Democratic leaders on infrastructure and headed out to the Rose Garden, where he bitterly complained about all the ongoing investigations into himself and his family members and declared that he refused to work with the Democrats until the probes were ended.

But a little digging from reporters made it clear that this very Trumpian tantrum was in fact staged, and that the President never had any intention of negotiating with the Democrats on infrastructure, instead choosing to take his football and go home in order to avoid an awkward battle within his own party over how to pay for any infrastructure plan that might be proposed.

But of course, that would mean the stunningly incompetent Trump administration would actually have to do their homework and come up with an infrastructure plan, which is apparently beyond their abilities or interest right now:

So instead of admitting that they had nothing, the Trump team decided to stage this absurd and frankly disgraceful stunt in order to cover their own asses and once again keep themselves from having to do anything substantial that might actually help this country instead of heap needless harm on the citizens they ostensibly work for.
