Pelosi threw major shade at Kellyanne Conway to her face after Trump stormed out of meeting

President Trump has had quite the busy day, albeit an unproductive one.

First, he showed up to a meeting with Democratic leadership under the pretense of discussing an infrastructure bill. His ruse was quickly exposed when he stated that negotiations were contingent on the investigations into his administration ending, then stormed out when Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer refused. He appeared in the Rose Garden and gave an unhinged speech attacking Dems and the Mueller report, then left and unleashed a lie-filled tweetstorm.

Now, Josh Dawsey of The Washington Post has revealed a great little anecdote from today’s whirlwind. Apparently, after Trump stomped out of his meeting with Democrats like a petulant child, Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway approached Speaker Pelosi and asked her if she’d like to respond to the president’s comments.

“I’ll respond to the president, not staff,” Pelosi said, making it crystal clear how little she thinks of the vile Conway.

“Wow, that’s really pro-woman of you,” Conway responded as if the woman who helped elect and continues to serve an avowed sexual predator and accused rapist cares one bit about the welfare of women.

Conway loves to weaponize the language of social justice against liberals but has absolutely no real interest beyond maintaining her own power.

Conway should have known better than to presume to ask the Speaker such a question. Pelosi is the head of a co-equal branch of government to the presidency, but this administration continues to disrespect Congress and its constitutional authority.

This is a lawless presidency way off the rails, and Pelosi knows just how to handle it. Once again she has reminded us of her iron spine and what a great choice Democrats made by choosing her to serve as Speaker of the House again.

Former Director of the United States Office of Government Ethics Walter Shaub decided to weigh in on the incident.

Joyce White Vance, a former United States Attorney, had a particularly disturbing take on Conway’s behavior.

As for Conway, it’s only a matter of time before she’s booted out of the White House and is forced to reckon with the damage she has helped inflicted and her tattered reputation.
