Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is praying for President Trump after his temper tantrum on the White House lawn this morning where the apoplectic president threw an unhinged hissy fit after walking out on a meeting to discuss infrastructure initiatives with Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY).
Pelosi’s prayers are likely directed out of concern for the mental health of the president who abruptly canceled the scheduled meeting after learning that Speaker Pelosi had accused Trump of a “coverup” during a morning caucus with Democratic representatives in the House to discuss the growing groundswell of support for the launch of impeachment proceedings against the stonewalling Chief Executive.
While Trump was purging his bile over the legitimate accusation to reporters on the White House lawn, Pelosi returned to Capitol Hill where she expressed her concern for Trump’s current mental capabilities in remarks to the assembled press.

The House Speaker speculated on the reasons for the president’s inability to compartmentalize his political and legal problems from the greater goal of achieving progress on an issue that he has tried so often to address that the repeated torpedoing of planned “infrastructure week” media blitzes by superseding news of one scandal or another has become a running joke among Washington observers.
Pelosi credited the president’s “lack of confidence” and his inability to “match the greatness of the challenge” in respecting Congress while working towards a common goal as the reason that Trump “took a pass” on trying to achieve progress on the long-stalled infrastructure initiative and then offered her prayers for both the president and the country.
After witnessing both Trump’s petulant and pouty impromptu news conference after the meeting’s cancellation and Pelosi’s pitying and diminishing remarks in its wake, CNN Senior Political Reporter Nia-Malika Henderson credited the House Speaker with a unique ability to play a subtle form of psychological warfare against the president.
“Pelosi seems to have his number. She seems to be able to get into his head in a way I don’t think we’ve seen,” Henderson marvelled at Pelosi’s abilities.

With President Trump now vowing to refuse to work with Democrats until they cease their multiple investigations into the mountain of evidence of corruption and obstruction provided by the Mueller report that the White House has yet to allow them to see in full, Trump seems to be intent on proving the very point that Pelosi made that upset him so much — insisting on covering up his actions by vowing to ignore all the legally-binding subpoenas that his administration has received demanding documents and testimony while holding the threat of bringing all legislative activity to a grinding halt as leverage until his demands are met.
Failing to realize that Speaker Pelosi is the only force preventing the restless progressive Democrats in the House of Representatives from starting impeachment hearings, Trump is only hastening that eventuality with his histrionic and narcissistic antics…and playing right into the Democrats’ hands.
