Kellyanne Conway’s husband just wrecked Trump on Twitter over his “loony tunes” Rose Garden speech

George Conway has been a thorn in President Trump’s side on Twitter for a long time now.

It was only natural then that Conway, the conservative “never-Trump” Washington attorney who happens to be married to White House Senior Advisor Kellyann Conway, would post his reactions to the president’s latest public temper tantrum after Trump was so insulted by being accused of a coverup by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) that he canceled a meeting with her and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on his vaunted infrastructure plan in a fit of pique.

From the perspective of the old school Republican that Conway exemplifies, Trump’s off the rails behavior this morning warranted a reminder that the Constitution provides a remedy for those instances when the president does not have the mental capacity to properly perform his duties. Thus, he tweeted out the text of the 25th Amendment to remind both Trump, and, more importantly, his cabinet that the solution to this glaringly obvious crisis is readily at hand.

Conway followed up his instructive tweet with a retweet of one of Trump’s own responses to the morning’s events that included a helpful referral to the Walter Reed Hospital’s Adult Inpatients Psychiatry Services in an uncharacteristically thoughtful gesture towards the presumed mentally-ailing president.

Today’s events were a goldmine for the Trump-trolling husband of the president’s long-serving advisor, with even the podium that the president used for his press conference inspiring a snarky, albeit quite accurate, tweet.

Of course, this was not the first time that George Conway has called the president’s mental stability into question as this tweet from just a few days ago demonstrates.

As one of the few Republicans willing to actually address the elephant in the room when it comes to the president’s massive failings, Conway may eventually help form the basis of a reconstituted GOP once the cancer of the Trump presidency is eradicated or, if that doesn’t happen quickly enough, may wind up leaving the party with other disaffected Republicans to forge new political ventures.

In the meantime, we can count on him to always be pointing out when the emperor is wearing no clothing.
