Ocasio-Cortez just went on a masterful Saturday morning tweet spree like a future president

On a morning when President Trump maintained radio silence on Twitter as he spent yet another day golfing at his course in Virginia, progressive firebrand Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took the opportunity to leverage the media vacuum with a series of tweets attacking racism and income inequality.

She began the day by raising the topic of how law enforcement and the media hold Muslims and white supremacists to different standards after being implicated in violent terrorist incidents.

After pointing out the inherent bias in the prosecution of terrorist acts, Representative Ocasio-Cortez moved onto the topic of the economy, income inequality, and the factors that helped create the record concentration of wealth in this country with a pointed question about America’s de facto ruling class.

Responding to Republican demands to shrink the social safety net protecting the wellbeing of poverty-stricken citizens in the wake of the massive deficits the GOP tax cut for billionaires have deliberately caused, the congresswoman proposed a radical solution to eliminating the need for income assistance among a wide swath of the working poor — paying them a living wage — an area where Ocasio-Cortez is putting her money where her mouth is.

Returning to the frustration that many Americans felt after the measures to prevent the economy from complete financial collapse in 2008 resulted in bailouts for banks but little relief for workers and mortgage holders, Representative Ocasio-Cortez presented a strategy for righting the mistakes made at the time with measures designed to restore fairness to the economy.

With even the blue-collar base that helped propel President Trump to a dubious electoral college victory in 2016 solidly on board with her proposals, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez is hurting Trump by demonstrating what truly populist policies would look like.

The comparison to the Republican legislative agenda which is designed to fulfill the wishes of their wealthy oligarch donors  — both in the US and in Russia, judging from the allegations of money laundering of foreign donations by major GOP fundraisers — is a huge embarrassment for a president who makes fanciful promises to drain the swamp and improve the economic situation for the dwindling middle class while enacting policies like massive tariffs that have the opposite effect.

No wonder Ocasio-Cortez has become the favorite target of right-wing media seeking to maintain the economic and ethnic imbalance of power in this country.
