Trump just made himself a laughingstock with ridiculous morning tweet about his brain

It’s hardly a controversial statement at this point to say that Donald Trump’s mind isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders. His senile ramblings have only grown worse since his inauguration and from time to time he delivers a speech in which he slurs his words to the point of near incoherence.  The president is an old man deteriorating before our very eyes, and his shaky fingers shouldn’t be anywhere near the nuclear button. Despite that, he continues to insist on his own untrammeled brilliance.

In the past, Trump has bragged that China respects his “very, very large brain,” which sounds more like the kind of thing a confident first grader would announce rather than a statement from President of the United States. This morning, he returned to the same embarrassing territory.

Trump took to Twitter to respond to news that Morning Joe’s Joe Scarborough — a former friend of Trump’s who has turned into an outspoken critic of his — said that Trump looks “20 years younger than a lot of Democratic candidates.”

The president thanked Scarborough and told him to remember that his “BRAIN is much sharper also!” Between the childish decision to write brain in all caps and the fact that a 72-year-old-man is bragging about his brain at all, one can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

It’s also worth pointing out that he that if he was even half as smart as he claims he’d have presidential accomplishments beyond the massive plutocratic tax cuts he handed out to the super-rich. His tenure in the Oval Office has been a long string of complete failures and terrible policies.

On top of that, Scarborough’s observation itself is pretty ridiculous. 76-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden looks as good if not healthier than Trump and the same goes for the 77-year-old Senator Bernie Sanders. Beyond them, every other Democratic candidate looks decades younger than our out of shape and addled president.

More importantly, literally any single one of them would make an infinitely better president than Donald J. Trump. Big brain or not, this man has got to go.

Twitter was not kind to Trump.
