A newspaper just revealed Trump won’t be getting the same royal treatment Obama did on his UK trip

President Trump is set to visit the United Kingdom in the near future, and he’s going to be furious when he discovers he’s not going to be receiving the royal treatment he’s come to expect when traveling abroad.

The Mirror reports that President Trump will not be staying at Buckingham Palace during his June 3-5th trip due to the “extensive renovations” that are apparently underway at the famous home of Britain’s monarchy.

A senior palace spokesman told the Mirror that “As Buckingham Palace is undergoing a massive renovation it’s just not possible to accommodate President Trump, the First Lady, and all his entourage. The entire east wing of the Palace is under reconstruction. Thousands of pieces of pieces from the royal collection have been removed and major plumbing and electrical works are taking place.

The Belgian Suite, where former President Barack Obama stayed and which is not in the part of the east wing is not closed but the logistics for having people all spread out over the building is just not practical.”

President Trump will no doubt be infuriated by the fact that his predecessor, who he’s obsessed with in the worst kind of way, was granted a luxury that he did not also receive, especially considering how much he values being spoiled and pampered by his hosts.

While the visit is to commemorate the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Europe, it’s likely to be a very tense trip even if Trump manages to behave himself. He has singlehandedly dragged our relationship with the UK through the mud through his deplorable feuds with London’s Mayor, Saddiq Khan, for his disparaging tweets following recent terror attacks in the UK, and for accusing the British intelligence services of wiretapping him at the behest of the Obama administration with absolutely no evidence.

The staff at Buckingham Palace are probably quite relieved they won’t have to try to scrub Big Mac sauce out of the palace cushions.
