Mitt Romney just blasted “sickening” Trump over the Mueller Report’s damning conclusions

Since the release of the Mueller report, the response from Senate Republicans has been subdued and quiet as they digest the information and try to decide which kind of response will be the most politically expedient.

Senator Mitt Romney, doubtlessly after a long strategizing session with his team, finally became one of the first major Senators to respond with a message from, uh, the Notes app on his iPhone.

The failed presidential candidate and ostensible “NeverTrump” Republican tried to play both sides by praising Mueller for not finding enough evidence to actually charge the president with anything and making sure he wouldn’t have to actually do anything to rein in the president beyond tut-tutting and wagging his finger at him, which he then proceeded to do with gusto.

It’s a very familiar pattern from Mr. Romney, who has, by and large, supported Trump’s agenda but remained a vocal critic in his efforts to keep his reputation as a “moderate.” His words will remain ultimately meaningless until he actually does something to put a stop to Trump’s agenda, like not voting to confirm the hundreds of unqualified right-wing psycho judges that the Republican caucus are machine-gunning through their hearings.
